Muir Wood Adolescent and Family Services offers boys residential mental health treatment in Petaluma, California. Our clinical team focuses on the unique challenges teen boys face to teach them healthy coping skills and offer support for their overall well-being. This program is limited to the treatment of moderate-to-severe mental health issues. Substance use is not addressed. Thompson Ranch is a sprawling two-story modern farmhouse in Petaluma set on two scenic acres with wide-open views of the neighboring hillsides. The outside grounds offer shady trees, flowering gardens, and a lighted basketball court.
The main house accommodates six boys. A separate outbuilding is designated for treatment and additional activities. After daily treatment schedules, boys return to the main house for chef-prepared meals, recreation, relaxation, participation in chores, and a restful night’s sleep in large, comfortable rooms they share with one other client.
