Experience
Holly Purcell-Logan, M.S., LMFT, brings more than 13 years of experience in the mental health field, with a strong background in clinical care, residential treatment, and private practice. She has worked across settings to support adolescents, young adults, and families navigating complex emotional and behavioral health challenges.
Before joining Muir Wood Teen Treatment, Holly served as a Clinical Supervisor at Sierra Meadows Behavioral Health in Fresno, where she led a team of 25 clinicians and support staff. In this role, she provided supervision to associate therapists and helped establish consistent, trauma-informed care for clients with co-occurring mental health disorders.
Holly also operated her own private therapy practice, where she provided therapy to teens, young adults, couples, and families, with a focus on accessible care for underserved populations, including LGBTQIA+ and Latina/Latino communities. In addition to direct clinical work, she managed operational aspects of the business, from insurance credentialing with payers like Kaiser Permanente and assessments to marketing and client care.
Recognized for her clinical integrity, compassionate leadership, and unwavering presence, Holly is committed to building safe, structured therapeutic spaces for teens and families that foster healing, emotional safety, and long-term growth.
Education
Holly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, where she served as a research associate in behavioral psychology and completed a clinical internship in child behavioral analysis. She has her Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, Northridge, where she designed a 12-week therapeutic curriculum to support women’s mental health, with a focus on body image and sexual wellness.
Role at Muir Wood
As Clinical Director of Muir Wood’s Clovis campus, Holly leads a multidisciplinary team delivering trauma-informed, developmentally attuned care to adolescents and families. She oversees the delivery of therapeutic services, clinical programming, and team development.
Holly partners closely with residential staff, medical providers, and family services to ensure treatment is consistent, individualized, and aligned with best practices. Her leadership blends clarity, warmth, and structure, helping families stabilize during times of acute distress, rebuild trust, and navigate recovery with hope and confidence.
Personal Interests
Holly enjoys cross-stitching, walking her dogs, gardening, and traveling with her family. Her creative, grounding pursuits reflect her belief in mindfulness, connection, and emotional balance, values she brings into both her clinical leadership and therapeutic relationships.
