The CNA is an integral part of the treatment team. The primary purpose of the CNA is to provide structure, supervision and direction to our clients, promote accountability, and ensure their safety and wellness.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate clients’ daily activities in residential settings including assistance with daily activities, chores supervision, assistance with meal service, laundry, etc.
  • Conduct new client introduction/check-in to Muir Wood including search of all items prior to admittance and lock up of contraband and medications.
  • Observe and monitor clients’ behavior and intervene based on schedule, individual treatment plans and house needs.
  • One-to-one supervision of clients at risk for AMA, suicidal risk, eating disorders, etc. per directive of the Clinical Director and ensure immediate notification to the Clinical Director when client vocalizes ideations about leaving the residential program.
  • Conduct Urinary Analysis screening and collection when directed by the Clinical Director, following appropriate procedures.
  • Transport clients in company vehicles to and from necessary appointments and off-property outings.
  • Coordinate milieu treatment with Counseling staff (via client record, staff communication, counseling/residential interface meeting).
  • Supervise self-administration of client medications per physician orders and maintain training in medication dispensing per State of California Community Care Licensing.
  • Ensure physical plant safety and security by conducting regular shift checks, fire drills, and disaster drills per Policy and Procedures of Muir Wood and State of California.
  • Ensure transportation safety by conducting van inspections following use of Muir Wood van and following documented safety rules.
  • Follow all emergency procedures including paging protocol, following directives given exactly, transportation protocol, etc.
  • Document services as required by applicable law and regulation, and other duties as assigned to facilitate program success and the ability of residents to benefit from programming.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Execute additional tasks assigned by supervisor, including overnight duties, if applicable.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Active CNA license
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for insurance coverage for driving the company’s vehicles
  • Must be First Aid and CPR certified upon hire

The Care Coordinator Manager is responsible for the supervision of Shift Supervisors and Care Coordinators, providing counseling and therapeutic clinical services and linkage assistance to clients within a residential environment. The Care Coordinator Manager is also responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing Care Coordinators in accordance with policies and procedures, current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Train all Care Coordinators on resident records and licensing regulations.
  • Familiarize Care Coordinators with procedures, location, use of documents, paperwork, resident charts and service plans.
  • U/A training, procedure, documentation, and protocol.
  • Write clear and concise statements, summarizing clients' feelings, expressions, resistance and response to their treatment plan; goals and objectives.
  • Maintain policies regarding professional ethics, appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality.
  • Participate in training and meet agency and licensure expectations related to training.
  • Monitor documents according to company and HIPPA policies.
  • Facilitate residents’ daily activities in residential setting including assistance with daily activities, chores supervision, assistance with meal service, laundry, etc.
  • Transport residents to and from necessary appointments.
  • Observe and monitor clients’ behavior and intervene based on schedule, individual treatment plans and house needs.
  • Maintain documentation of services as required by applicable law and regulation, and other duties as assigned to facilitate program success and the ability of clients to benefit from programming.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, or AMFT, ASW preferred
  • Department of Social Services Group Home Administrator Certification preferred / must pass state Group Home Administrator test within 6 months of employment and complete internal manager training
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with dually diagnosed individuals or with high acuity population, preferably in a residential setting
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level I (CADC-II) or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) preferred
  • Knowledge of the philosophy and approach of the 12-step model of recovery (AA, CA, NA, Al-Anon, etc.)

Primary Purpose and Function

Reporting to the COO, the Director of HR will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, which include: talent acquisition and retention, employee relations and engagement, performance management, employee benefits, wage/hour law, compensation, worker’s compensation, professional development programs, State Licensing and legal compliance, among other areas. This position will serve as a change agent and process improvement leader in support of the organization’s goals and objectives. The Director of HR will closely partner with the senior leadership team to ensure that all the people initiatives are delivered in a timely manner.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  •  Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and   retention. 
  •  Executive-level management of HR practices including employee relations and engagement, performance management and disciplinary action, training and development, onboarding/offboarding, payroll, benefits, leaves, investigations, labor law compliance, classification/compensation, and legal/risk management.
  • Assist with organizational development including strategic planning and execution, policy development/updates, recruitment, retention, performance evaluation process, and setting key expectations for employees.
  • Manage talent acquisition and onboarding by leading the recruitment and hiring process, successfully attracting top talent that shares our commitment to Muir Wood’s mission.
  • Develop and administer comprehensive onboarding programs to help new employees integrate seamlessly into the organization. 
  • Provide HR reports to leadership team on a routine basis, to include: open positions (including time open), turnover rates (by program, by discipline), orientation completion, employee satisfaction, employee birthdays/anniversaries, and exit surveys. 
  • Oversight of all employee relations matters including disciplinary procedures, complaints, and employee investigations.
  • Strong understanding of laws and regulations including FMLA/CFRA, ADA, FLSA, disability, and related State and Federal laws.
  • Coordinate HR-related training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff, supervisors, and senior management team.
  • Manage benefits administration including trends in the provision of health, dental, workers’ompensation and disability benefits.
  • Oversee management, improvement, and implementation of HR technology systems; develop KPI reporting mechanisms to demonstrate HR and Recruiting trends to senior leadership.
  •  Work with outside legal counsel and other experts relating to HR issues and regulatory compliance. 
  • Coach, mentor and build rapport with employees and leaders to be seen as a trusted advisor.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

• HR professional certification (e.g., SHRM – CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.

• At least five years’ experience working in HR.

• Experience in working with multi-site cross functional remote teams. 

• Experience managing HR and Recruiting team preferred.

Healthcare and behavioral health industry experience preferred

The Therapist is responsible for providing residential addiction and mental health treatment as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team. They will fulfill direct service, including individual /family and group psychotherapy, consultations, and crisis intervention; directly interface with clients and families; facilitate individual and group therapy; coordinate 12-step programming, management of daily milieu; and provide leadership to support staff. The Therapist will report directly to the Clinical Director as part of the clinical management team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of clients at the time of admission and re-assessments as required.
  • Conduct twice weekly individual therapy sessions with assigned caseload.
  • Communicate with third party insurance provider upon admission (or as necessary) to help insure authorization for treatment at Muir Wood.
  • Conduct ACRQ (and other outcome measurement instruments as identified by the Clinical Director) at time of admission and and at time of discharge.
  • Conduct weekly office hours each week for parents of Muir Wood residents to receive feedback on their teen. 
  • Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation that meets or exceeds relevant legal, ethical and accreditation standards.
  • Provide direct therapeutic services in the form of diagnostic assessments and treatment for all Muir Wood clients.
  • Responsible for completion of the initial psychosocial admission assessment, facilitating process, psycho-educational, and 12-step oriented groups for clients.
  • Meet with each client weekly for individualized therapy for a minimum of one (1) hour addressing individual needs and concerns and providing daily and weekly goal setting.
  • Maintain client records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide a weekly progress report to the residents parents/authorized representative.
  • Assist in providing therapeutic training for the Recovery Counselors and Care Coordinators.
  • Facilitate Treatment Planning in absence of Clinical Director and co-facilitate Saturday multi-family process groups when needed.
  • Provide weekly group therapy with residents as needed and directed by Clinical Director.
  • Provide individual/family, and group psychotherapy.
  • Participate in Treatment Team meetings and Case Conference Reviews.
  • Provide appropriate diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on a review of the client’s history, signs, and symptoms.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Chief Clinical Officer.

Qualifications:

  • Masters-level therapist or equivalent, Licensed PhD, PsyD, LMFT or LCSW preferred
  • Two years’ experience working in substance abuse treatment, preferably in a residential setting
  • Age and Gender specific counseling skills – Aware of needs of different age groups and genders
  • Multi-Cultural counseling skills – Ability to communicate and aware of needs of patients of varying cultural backgrounds
  • Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and relate issues
  • Knowledge of KIPU electronic health records and CARF charting standards

We are seeking a dynamic Care Coordinator to be an integral part of our treatment team at our adolescent residential treatment programs. The primary purpose of the Care Coordinator is to provide structure, supervision and direction to our clients, promote accountability, and ensure their safety and wellness.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate clients’ daily activities in residential settings including assistance with daily activities, chores supervision, assistance with meal service, laundry, etc.
  • Conduct new client introduction/check-in to Muir Wood including search of all items prior to admittance and lock up of contraband and medications.
  • Observe and monitor clients’ behavior and intervene based on schedule, individual treatment plans and house needs.
  • One-to-one supervision of clients at risk for AMA, suicidal risk, eating disorders, etc. per directive of the Clinical Director and ensure immediate notification to the Clinical Director when client vocalizes ideations about leaving the residential program.
  • Conduct Urinary Analysis screening and collection when directed by the Clinical Director, following appropriate procedures.
  • Transport clients in company vehicles to and from necessary appointments and off-property outings.
  • Coordinate milieu treatment with Counseling staff (via client record, staff communication, counseling/residential interface meeting).
  • Supervise self-administration of client medications per physician orders and maintain training in medication dispensing per State of California Community Care Licensing.
  • Ensure physical plant safety and security by conducting regular shift checks, fire drills, and disaster drills per Policy and Procedures of Muir Wood and State of California.
  • Ensure transportation safety by conducting van inspections following use of Muir Wood van and following documented safety rules.
  • Follow all emergency procedures including paging protocol, following directives given exactly, transportation protocol, etc.
