When your child is in crisis, you may benefit from professional support. Muir Wood’s dual-diagnosis program for boys in Riverside, CA, offers hope and healing for teens dealing with mental health issues and co-occurring substance use issues.
We established our program in Riverside to help address the area’s shortage of high-quality residential treatment programs for teens. Through our proven model, we provide a top-tier, Joint Commission-accredited residential treatment program for teen boys, 12-17, experiencing crisis.
Our Integrated Therapeutic Approach
Our dual-diagnosis approach includes substance use treatment for teen boys in Riverside. However, our philosophy is to treat the whole person, not just one behavioral issue. We use therapy and psychiatric rigor to treat underlying mental health issues alongside any substance use.
Our unique approach combines experiential modalities such as music, art, meditation, and yoga with traditional clinical approaches in order to provide opportunities for boys to grow and open up to our therapists.
Our Staff and Schedule
Our full staff of therapists, psychiatrists, teachers, and care coordinators provides unique experiences for each boy, catered to their needs and unique treatment plan. Each week, boys attend:
- Daily classroom time
- Weekly individual and group therapy
- Off-campus adventures like hiking
- On-campus experiences like music and art
Bradley Ranch Campus
Our Bradley Ranch Campus accommodates a small population of just six boys in treatment in Riverside. This sprawling ranch-style house has six beds for boys aged 12 to 17. With designated group therapy rooms and plenty of communal space, boys build a community and learn from one another’s experiences.
The campus also has plenty of outdoor space, including a pool, a barn, and some of Riverside’s signature citrus trees. Boys are given physical recreation opportunities here and in the beautiful surrounding mountain areas.
