Samantha Gennuso, AMFT, MA, MS

Sam Gennuso is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and holistic recovery coach, and is trained in the tradition of Bhakti yoga (YT-200). Sam is a person who stutters and specializes in communication, mindfulness, and healing from shame as a radical statement. She holds masters’ degrees in both Clinical Psychology and Communication Studies, which shape her understanding of how we move through the world. Sam began advocating for difference through national organizations when she was 16, and has been presenting on the topic of vulnerability ever since. She started a recovery coaching practice in 2013 and utilizes her background in psychology, Eastern spirituality, and addiction recovery to inform her work, which centers around the psychology of self-realization, and holistic recovery (in all its forms).

Sam believes that therapy helps us uncover all of the limiting narratives, labels and beliefs with which we identify, to ultimately forge a loving path to positive life change that promotes healing from suffering.

In her spare time, Sam loves running long miles, yoga, snacks, and watching therapy shows.
