Linda is a State of CA multiple subject credentialed teacher and is CLAD (cross cultural language and academic development) certified. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of California, San Diego and completed all her Masters’ coursework in curriculum and development at St. Mary’s College in Moraga. An accomplished teacher with decades of experience, Linda has taught underserved populations and thrives working with students who require more support and encouragement. Through her many years of training other teachers to use CAT assessments, Linda has learned the value of ongoing formative assessments and allowing students to take responsibility for their learning by tracking their progress. Linda has taught Special Education, including monitoring IEP’s, and has served on many leadership teams in various school districts. She was also a teacher-trainer for WRITE curriculum and Writing Across the Curriculum modules. In addition, Linda worked for Renaissance Learning training teachers and administrators on the best uses of computer adaptive assessment (CAT) and individualized-learning software programs. An exceptional gifted and seasoned educator, Linda is also an avid cyclist and loves to hike in Marin and Sonoma. Muir Wood is blessed to have someone as accomplished as Linda teach our boys.
