Erin is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at Muir Wood. She received both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from San Francisco State University. She has provided mental health treatment to adolescents and their families for the past 10 years in a variety of settings including public high school in San Francisco, as part of a community-based Wraparound team, and in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) in a hospital. She has extensive experience providing support to adolescents and families in crisis. Erin has witnessed young people and their families put work into making healthy & effective changes in their lives, and she believes in all peoples’ potential for growth. Erin takes a healing-centered approach in her work with young people and their families, which means that she works closely with them to identify how to incorporate aspects of their cultures, communities, and connections to support their healing. Erin has been trained in various modalities of treatment including DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), psychodynamic therapy, CBT (cognitive behavior therapy), family systems, & MI (motivational interviewing). She takes a strengths-based approach, and practices flexibly, utilizing interventions that are suited to individual clients’ and families’ needs and preferences.
