The RN provides on-site nursing and attendant care to adolescents within the Muir Wood facilities. The RN is expected to perform all job responsibilities in alignment with Muir Wood's core values and comply with all OSHA, HIPAA, local, state, and federal regulations.

• Completes Nursing screening and/or assessment of new clients immediately upon admission according to level of care procedures.
• Links clients with appropriate medical care as necessary and documents all referrals.
• Obtains, stores and monitors medications according to policy and procedure.
• Monitors medication process for individual living in residential facilities including supervision of medication distribution, supervising self-administration process.
• Provides on-going client education (group and individual) regarding medications.
• Performs responsibilities according to clinical and timeliness guidelines, and assimilates and applies performance feedback as directed by management personnel.
• Work with Operations Manager to order required medical equipment
• Cross-trains and supports other divisions (ie care coordinators) as needed or requested by the supervisor.
• Maintains medical records, medical charts, control log, etc
• Self-directed to provide support to colleagues as workflow allows.
• Participates in weekly staff and clinical meetings.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Conduct twice weekly individual therapy sessions with assigned caseload

• Responsible for providing direct therapeutic services in the form of diagnostic assessments and treatment for all clients

• Working knowledge of KIPU electronic health records and CARF charting standards
• Responsible for parent/Referent communication and case management for client caseload (with client’s written consent)
• Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues
• Provide in-service training to staff and trainees on topics as needed

The Credentialed Teachers primary purpose is to provide academic instruction during the week to Muir Wood residents, collaborate with residents home schools and parents, and actively participate in the treatment team as a member of the Muir Wood residential treatment program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Completes student education evaluation in a timely manner.
• Develops Individual Education Plan for each resident of Muir Wood in collaboration with the residents’ home school instructors and school district.
• Provides academic testing on each resident (as needed.)
• Completes weekly progress report for parents/authorized representative on clients.
• Informs Clinical Director and treatment team of all behavioral problems and documents  in the residents’ file.
• Administration of state-of-the-art assessments to develop the current level of achievement, ability to learn, and strengths of each resident.
• Assistance with ACT/SAT preparation and coordination of online courses (when appropriate.)
• Ability to provide individual tutoring to residents in need of 1:1 educational needs.
• Participation in weekly treatment team meetings and weekly staff meetings.
• Performs other duties that may be required from as instructed by the Clinical Director.
• Works collaboratively with student’s home school and teachers to ensure that curriculum is obtained and students are maintained in their home school studies.

The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness of the facility/ies and for providing clients assistance in basic housekeeping tasks. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Vacuuming all carpeted areas daily and sweeping all non-carpeted floors daily
• Ensure that all resident rooms are cleaned daily per Operations Manager definition
• Ensure that all cleaning products are locked up when not in use. At no time are any hazardous materials such as cleaning products to be left unsupervised at Muir Wood.
• Mopping all floors daily and mop head changed daily
• Ensures that clean linen will be stored separately from soiled linen
• Ensures that soiled linen containers will be labeled “soiled linen” 
• Bathrooms cleaned and disinfected daily
• Dusting will be done at least once per week
• Empties trash daily 
• Ensure that all offices are cleaned weekly and that all trash in offices are emptied daily
• Other specific cleaning duties as assigned 

The Head Chef is responsible for serving attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth.  This position is primarily responsible for sourcing, purchasing, preparing and cooking foods to ensure an efficient and profitable food service. This position is also responsible for creating, planning and executing menus for the facility's in-patient clients and for staff events by performing the following duties.

• Assures proper receiving and storage of food
• Oversees and manages all aspects of the Muir Wood Food Service Program
• Reviews production schedule to determine food requirements including variety and quantity of food for preparation and to assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily cooking activities
• Plans daily menu that is attractive, varied and is designed with foundational nutrition
• Sources and purchases food
• Reviews production schedule, daily census, staffing and visitors to determine food requirements including variety and quantity of food for preparation and to assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily cooking activities
• Develops standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation which help to assure consistently high quality and to minimize food costs; exercises portion control for all items served and assists in establishing menu selling prices

• Safeguards all employees by implementing training as necessary to increase safety, sanitation and accident prevention principles
• Schedules and coordinates other kitchen employees to assure that food preparation is economical and technically correct and within budgeted labor cost goals

 As part of the Executive Leadership Team, and under the supervision of the COO, the Clinical Director will oversee Muir Wood’s clinical programming including (but not limited to) program development, clinical supervision, staff training in best clinical practices, and facilitation of both the weekly staff meeting and treatment team meeting. The Clinical Director provides clinical supervision and program management in areas of administrative oversight, State of CA DSS and DHCS licensing compliance, JCAHO accreditation, and employee appraisal. The Clinical Director is responsible for interviewing, selecting and training clinical staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; supervision of interns if necessary, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Muir Wood Adolescent & Family Services is a residential treatment program designed specifically for teens ages 12-17 suffering from mental health and substance abuse conditions. We operate ten residential treatment facilities in Sonoma, California, accommodating a small population just 64 teens.

Primary Purpose and Function

The Recovery Counselor is responsible for providing counseling and therapeutic clinical services to patients, providing counseling and linkage assistance within a residential environment, including responsibilities maintaining the program milieu. Additionally, responsible for the overall operation of the facility in accordance with policies and procedures, current federal, state and local standards, including guidelines and regulations governing our facility to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe manner.
